The Jhagadia Float Glass manufacturing unit is a strategic investment of a leading glass business in western India.

Located at Central Gujarat, the state-of-the-art float glass plant covers an area of 150 acres and has a capacity to produce 550 MT of clear glass per day.

Saint-Gobain's Jhagadia site sets a high quality benchmark standard within India and globally.

The campus features a uniquely positioned in-house Sand Beneficiation plant with a capacity to produce 600 tons of treated sand per day.

Jhagadia glass site attracts future investments of Saint-Gobain in India.

Key Role Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain electrical equipment including switchyards, motors, EOT cranes, and crushing equipment.
  • Responsible for maintenance and operation knowledge in gensets, electrical Panels, Transformers, isolators, and lightning arrestors.
  • Maintain automation systems & Basic operations of PLC's and SCADA.
  • Maintenance & Trouble Shooting of AC/DC machines, & Circuit Theory & earthing concepts.
  • Control systems & Automation systems
  • Protection and metering devices & systems
  • Knowledge in VFD & PLC applications
  • Knowledge of Encoders & feedback sensors
  • HV, MV & LV Power systems & equipments
  • Electrical generation & distribution system
  • Energy calculations and efficiency improvements
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma - Electrical Engineering from reputed institutions with Good Academic record
  • 3-5 years Experience in Manufacturing / Process / Engg. Industry
