Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and figures as required using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • With guidance, they will prepare designs for site grading and site servicing including water distribution, sanitary sewers, storm water management, and erosion control design.
  • They will complete tasks including cut and fill calculations, turning movements, and flow calculations for the design of wastewater and storm sewer systems.

Requirements:

  • BEng (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering + minimum 3 years of relevant experience or Diploma in Civil Engineering + minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Good hands-on experience of AutoCAD Civil3D is must. Evidence of the C3D experience are welcome.
  • Knowledge of MicroStation/ OpenRoads / Infraworks / Revit / 12D / Bluebeam Revu will be preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
  • Willingness to learn additional software skills for relevant design software.
  • General knowledge of construction techniques and practices
  • Knowledge and project experience of working and delivering in a BIM environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and use his/her initiative for simple tasks and under supervision for the critical tasks.
  • Rigorous attention to detail, able to understand and adopt workflows and commitment to professional development
  • Flexible attitude to accepting different work assignments and pro-active attitude to execution / delivery
