Marketplace Growth Specialist Role

The Marketplace Operations & Growth Manager is responsible for setting up and growing the company's presence on various platforms.

This role involves end-to-end management of marketplace channels, from initial setup to optimizing product listings, pricing, promotions, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate has a solid background in marketplace management, preferably with experience in D2C, FMCG, or e-commerce, and is skilled in leveraging platform algorithms and data analytics to enhance performance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Marketplace Setup & Integration:
    • Lead the initial onboarding process across various marketplace platforms, ensuring seamless integration of the product catalog and alignment with platform guidelines.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to set up product listings, pricing structures, and inventory management systems tailored for each marketplace.
  • Product Listing & Optimization:
    • Curate, optimize, and manage product listings to increase visibility, drive clicks, and maximize conversions.
    • Continuously monitor and refine product titles, descriptions, images, and keywords for search optimization on each platform.
  • Promotions & Pricing Strategy:
    • Develop and execute promotional campaigns in partnership with marketplaces to boost visibility during peak seasons and special events.
    • Set competitive pricing strategies, including discounts and bundling options, to attract buyers while maximizing margins.
  • Inventory & Fulfillment Management:
    • Work closely with inventory and supply chain teams to maintain optimal stock levels across all platforms, avoiding stockouts or overstock situations.
    • Coordinate with the fulfillment team to ensure orders are processed and delivered promptly to meet marketplace SLAs.
  • Sales & Performance Analysis:
    • Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, conversion rates, customer reviews, and return rates.
    • Leverage data insights to identify growth opportunities and troubleshoot issues impacting performance on each marketplace.
  • Relationship Building with Marketplace Platforms:
    • Build strong relationships with marketplace account managers to stay updated on platform changes, negotiate promotional opportunities, and secure premium placements.
    • Keep up with platform-specific policies, trends, and best practices to maintain compliance and competitive positioning.
  • Customer Experience & Feedback:
    • Monitor and respond to customer feedback and reviews, ensuring high standards of satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.
    • Implement customer feedback into product and listing improvements to enhance the brand's marketplace reputation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in marketplace management, e-commerce, or D2C operations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in marketplace tools and analytics platforms.
    • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple marketplaces and prioritize tasks effectively.
