Job Title:

Spirits Operations Manager

A Spirits Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient production of distilled beverages at a plant.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in managing plant operations, including manufacturing, quality assurance, safety, logistics, procurement, and finance.
  • They should be able to drive production and sales targets as per the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • A successful candidate will also be able to formulate and implement strategies to meet annual business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage plant operations, including manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, safety, logistics, procurement, and finance.
  • Oversee uninterrupted and efficient production of distilled beverages and warehousing activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet annual business objectives.

Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Drive production and sales targets as per the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Formulate and implement strategies to meet annual business objectives.

Process Optimization
  • Enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce SOPs for safety, quality, and security of workforce and machinery.

Quality & Maintenance
  • Maintain in-process quality control and ensure continuous process improvements.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.

Vendor & Compliance Management
  • Identify and develop vendors; manage supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies.

Projects & Capex
  • Lead new capital expenditure projects and expansion initiatives.

Team Leadership & HR
  • Build and lead high-performing teams aligned with company goals.
  • Manage industrial relations, labor issues, recruitment, orientation, and training.

Government Liaison
  • Maintain smooth relations with government departments and facilitate all necessary liaisoning for seamless plant operations.
