Job Title: Storage Professional

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NetApp, Hitachi and strong technical skills.
  • They should have a deep understanding of CMODE, CDOT and fabric switches.
  • Experience with software tools from NetApp, such as OCUM and OCI, is also essential.
  • Key responsibilities include designing and implementing Netapp storage systems, including procurement, installation, configuration, software upgrades, and storage provisioning.
  • Other tasks involve adding disk shelves to existing storage for standalone and high-availability controllers.
  • The candidate should also have extensive experience in configuring and managing DR replications via snapmirror.
  • Managing vfilers, fiber interconnect switches, storage reporting and monitoring tools is also required.
  • Strong understanding of technologies like CIFS, NFS, and excellent knowledge of enterprise process mapping tools and techniques are necessary.
  • Providing operational support to File Serving/NAS Infrastructure within the organization and planning data migrations using Robocopy are key duties.
  • Using an operational ticketing system to record changes and work history details is also essential.
  • Handling Disk, Aggregate, Qtree, Volume issues, checking Storage Critical Events, and being responsible for day-to-day storage tasks and changes are critical responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Storage Administration.
  • Strong technical skills and in-depth understanding of CMODE and CDOT & fabric switches.
  • Extensive experience in software tools from NetApp (OCUM, OCI etc).
  • Ability to design and implement Netapp storage systems.
  • Excellent understanding of the following technologies: CIFS - NFS.
