As a seasoned Database Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-performance database systems.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in MS-SQL and PostgreSQL, with a proven track record of installation, upgradation, and migration of SQL Servers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing data backup and recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Configuring high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, and lock timeouts.
  • Developing and maintaining automated scripts using perl and power shell to streamline tasks.
  • Collaborating with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers based on application demands.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Maintaining controlled development database environments.
  • Deploying database objects to Integration, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Providing day-to-day support for high OLTP HA of SQL Server databases.
  • Identifying root causes of production problems and working with developers to resolve such issues.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in database administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additionally, experience in AWS/Azure is highly desirable.
