Job Summary

Emerson is seeking a skilled Documentation Engineer to join our Project Management Organization. As a key member of our Centre of Excellence (CoE) Customer Care team, you will be responsible for post-order documentation for project orders. This involves collaborating with global factories to meet committed due dates, collecting project documents, reviewing, and ensuring proper storage and retrieval. You will also maintain databases, track revisions, and ensure compliance with organizational procedures and industry standards.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Take ownership of project documentation from project award to final submission, actively participating in project kick-off meetings to understand customer documentation requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders (factories, PM, IPM, and customer) to ensure timely submission of all documents and approvals in line with agreed EDDI (Emerson Document Delivery Index).
  • Maintain detailed status of documents in EDDI/VDRL.
  • Ensure documents are submitted and received on time, correctly stored in Emerson's document repository/Doc Pro software.
  • Prepare cover pages for documents and manage transmittal between Emerson and customers.
  • Prepare comment resolution sheets to address factory or project manager comments on documents, aligning with project scope of supply.
  • Continuously follow up with customers and internal resources to expedite overdue documents.
  • Upload documents to customers through their Document Management portals or send via email.
  • Provide project document status reports to customers and project managers.
  • Prepare and submit Manufacturing Record Book (MRB)/Final Data Book in accordance with approved MRB Index, working closely with customers until final approvals to claim breakthrough payment for project documentation as specified in the purchase order.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Good assertive communication skills to deal with global partners (strong written & verbal communication in English language is mandatory).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Tools (.Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Strong organizational and detail orientation skills, tech-savvy.
  • Ability to comprehend technical details/technical literacy.
  • Demonstrated teamwork or ability to work in a team environment.
  • Should be an outspoken character. Must be able to manage complex situations under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Degree in Engineering or any other Degree or equivalent experience with proven experience.
