The primary responsibility of a BIM Engineer is to create and manage three-dimensional models of buildings, infrastructure, and other structures. This role requires strong technical skills in software such as Revit and AutoCAD, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up projects, creating parametric families, and managing the Revit server from a production perspective.
- Completing attachment and detail markups for company products.
- Translating less specific design direction into functional documents.
- Building FRP and GFRC products such as columns, cupolas, cornices, domes, balustrades, entryways, and different types of cladding systems.
- BIM Modelling: Creating 3D BIM models using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
- Implementing BIM best practices, including LOD (Level of Development) standards.
- Performing clash detection and resolution to identify and resolve design conflicts.
- Collaborating with project team members to ensure seamless integration of all building systems.
- Documentation: Generating accurate construction documents and drawings from BIM models.
- Maintaining an organized and up-to-date BIM documentation system.
- Quality Control: Conducting regular quality checks to ensure BIM models meet industry standards and client requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in BIM modelling and coordination.
- Proficiency in BIM software, such as Revit, AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Well-versed with American codes & standards.
