SAP BW with ABAP Consultant

">Job Description:

The company is looking for a talented individual to fill the position of SAP BW with ABAP consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data models and pipelines in SAP Datasphere, integrating SAP and non-SAP sources using Data Provisioning and Federation tools, developing views and data layers using SAP BW/4HANA and SAP HANA Cloud, and understanding stakeholder data needs and translating them into technical solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in SAP Datasphere, proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud, hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA and S/4HANA data sources, solid understanding of cloud architecture and data integration, robust SQL skills and data transformation logic capabilities, excellent communication and presentation skills, and technical ABAP experience including AMDP, CDS view creation, ODP, BAdIs.

  • Design and implement end-to-end data models and pipelines in SAP Datasphere.
  • Integrate SAP and non-SAP sources using Data Provisioning and Federation tools.
  • Develop views and data layers using SAP BW/4HANA and SAP HANA Cloud.
  • Understand stakeholder data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement data governance, security, and privacy using SAP Datasphere capabilities.
  • Develop dashboards and reports in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) per business requirements.
  • Integrate SAP Datasphere with SAC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and external databases.
  • Conduct end-user training and provide post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate across IT, business analysts, and data architects.
  • Implement SAC planning scenarios and remediation for S/4HANA.
  • Apply BDC (Batch Data Communication) techniques, preferably with certification.

">Required Skills and Qualifications:

The following are the key qualifications for this role:

  • Strong experience in SAP Datasphere: data modeling, spaces, and data flows.
  • Proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud: story building, planning, live data connections.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA and S/4HANA data sources.
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture and data integration.
  • Robust SQL skills and data transformation logic capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Technical ABAP experience including AMDP, CDS view creation, ODP, BAdIs.
  • Expertise in HANA-specific features like Calculation Views and fine-tuning function module extractors during migrations.
  • Knowledge of ADSOs (Advanced DataStore Objects), Composite Providers, and ODS Views.

Candidates should possess a deep understanding of SAP technologies, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
