The role of HR Risk Lead involves leading risk management activities within the HR function and embedding risk management in all aspects of HR work. The HR Risk Manager designs strategies and work plans for the function, ensuring all activities are delivered against those plans.
Key responsibilities include leading functional and leadership communications, change management in respect of risk management, and ensuring the agenda is understood, resources are aligned, and delivery is managed.
The HR Risk Lead represents HR in centralized risk management forums and projects, providing HR risk management insight into central programs to ensure work driven into HR is proportionate and appropriate. They're responsible for interpreting central requests and facilitating delivery of required work within HR.
This includes leading HR through external reviews and audits, including those conducted by regulators. The HR Risk Lead owns controls testing for HR, provides related assurance, tracks remediation, and control/documentation improvements.
They ensure HR compliance through continued evolution of compliance programs/controls, challenging processes/activities through testing to ensure compliance is sustained, and maintain oversight of critical compliance processes.
A key part of the role also involves designing new risk-related programs of work to address emerging strategic HR risk management issues, leading on resolution, and representing risk management and compliance on internal HR projects.
Responsibilities- Design and implement internal governance processes including consistent controls and monitoring programs for India HR
- Manage documentation and execution of local HR controls to demonstrate and ensure adherence to local employment laws and quality delivery of services in HR
- Lead audit activities, including but not limited to, establishing a framework to facilitate both internal and external audits, supports the team in producing artifacts meeting agreed upon timeframes, clear accountability and delivery across team members
- Lead Capital One India HR risk activities and serve as Risk point-person
- Help track and resolve HR India issues and events within agreed upon timeframes
- Develop reporting framework and cadence to regularly inform team and leaders on risks and issues
- Consult leaders and team members to ensure end-to-end services and products are well managed
- Influence leaders, peers, and stakeholders to develop and deliver best possible outcomes
- Stay current on intent and subject matter targets to support the team in risk management
- Perform in leadership role to help team(s) deliver large scale local HR Risk deliverables and to understand impact on other teams, programs or department
- Accountable for overall delivery of specified compliance activities, IRP, regular and ongoing process and procedures reviews and updates
- Masters/Bachelors Degree
- 8+ years experience in Project management experience leading cross-functional projects and programs in HR Risk
- 8+ years experience in Risk or Audit Management
- PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification
