Database Developer Position

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient database solutions using SQL Server, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), or other ETL tools.

The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and managing ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into databases or data warehouses.

The Database Developer will also be responsible for developing stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers to support application development.

Additionally, the successful candidate will optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexes, and other database components.

The Database Developer will collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and other teams to ensure that business needs are met through data solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Experience with SSIS or any other ETL tool (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Pentaho).
  • Expertise in creating and optimizing ETL workflows, automating data loads, and transforming large datasets.
  • Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Knowledge of data modeling and database design concepts.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex database issues.
  • Understanding of version control systems and Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based ETL tools or cloud data platforms (Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, etc.) is a plus.
