Senior Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing large-scale data engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on coding expertise in Python and Pyspark, with strong experience in Telemetry, Big Data, and backend engineering. Additionally, domain expertise in IoT systems, HVAC/refrigeration equipment, and other mechanical solutions is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Python and Pyspark.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy data-driven applications.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality results.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Expertise in Python, Pyspark, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Python/PySpark coding.
  • Strong Big Data experience, GCP preferred.
  • Telemetry experience.
  • Streaming experience with analytics and data processing.
  • Business analytics experience and working directly with business partners to implement feedback.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of IoT systems, especially in: Refrigeration units, HVAC systems, Controllers and sensors.
  • Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar.
  • Ability to explain how data flows through IoT units and how sensors are designed and monitored.
