REFX Specialist

The role of a REFX specialist encompasses the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP Flexible Real Estate Management (REFX) solutions. This involves ensuring compliance with established lease accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement REFX solutions for real estate contract and lifecycle management, adhering to IFRS 16 and ASC 842 guidelines.
  • Configure REFX master data, valuation rules, rental objects, and cash flow settings, integrating with SAP FI, CO, and FI-AA for financial postings, cost allocation, and depreciation.
  • Manage lease-in and lease-out contracts, including subleases and internal leasing, automating workflows for contract approvals, renewals, terminations, and notifications.
  • Achieve seamless integration with SAP FICO for AP/AR and financial reporting, implementing depreciation, balance tracking, and security deposit management.
  • Lead migration of lease contract data from legacy systems to SAP REFX, conduct thorough data validation, UAT, and post-migration support, prepare and execute cutover strategies and functional testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in SAP REFX and SAP FI modules, strong knowledge of lease accounting standards (IFRS 16, ASC 842).
  • Proficiency in SAP FI-CO, FI-AA, and S/4HANA Real Estate Management, experience with SAP Fiori, SAP BW/BI, and SAC for reporting.
  • Familiarity with business partner settings, contract workflows, and rental object configuration, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
