Position Overview:

As a key member of the Operations team at the country office, the Senior Manager, Program Operations will report directly to the Program Operations Director. This position will directly assist the Program Operations Director in ensuring seamless operations at the field level (Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh). The Senior Manager will directly supervise Field Managers to accomplish the operations department goals and be instrumental in coordinating with other departments at the CO and GO levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all RtR programs, their inter-linkages, and convergence, including GEP.
  • Lead project management efforts, encompassing planning, monitoring, and evaluating programs at all levels across multiple states, preferably education projects.
  • Coordinate and follow up with allocated state teams and admin departments on various reports, ICs, and budget-related issues.
  • Provide support to the Operations team in tracking ICs and corresponding expenses at the state level.
  • Possess strong financial management expertise, including annual planning, budgeting, budget outlook, cash forecasting, and analyzing and tracking budgets for various programs.
  • Coordinate with other program teams for timely redressal and mitigation of operational issues.
  • Collaborate with RM&E to analyze Literacy and GEP data trends, identifying potential risks and deviations in implementation of program design.
  • Communicate and correspond with GO counterparts to seek clarification on various aspects of operations in the country.
  • Develop systems to keep records of all PNGOs and state-level partnerships and follow up for timely renewal of partnership documents (agreements/MoUs).
Requirements:
  • Masters in Education, Social Sciences, or Social Work or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience with a strong background in project management, encompassing planning, monitoring, and evaluating programs at all levels across multiple states, preferably education projects.
  • Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills, including skills of managing and mentoring people.
  • Strong financial management expertise, including annual planning, budgeting, budget outlook, cash forecasting, and analyzing and tracking budgets for various programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
