Job Overview

This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on KYC-related matters, including regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Support complex client KYC review cases.
  • Collate feedback for QA reports from stakeholders, discuss with KYC teams and seek support before presenting final feedback. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) from QA & QC reports to identify error trends and knowledge gaps.
  • Implement the global financial crime program requirements as they relate to KYC.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Oversee necessary escalation to relevant stakeholders and serve as primary contact for query resolution.
  • Identify process enhancements and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partner with teams to drive consistent interpretation and application of KYC requirements.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to ensure consistency in processes and procedures.
  • Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team understanding of KYC processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop training materials and resources to support ongoing education.
  • Act as liaison between KYC team and other departments, providing updates and insights on KYC activities.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors, as required.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
  • Align KYC processes with risk management framework.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise stakeholders on implications.
  • Assist, track, monitor and complete all action points part of audit/compliance testing on time.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should have experience in a similar knowledge manager role within a financial institution.

Relevant certifications such as CAMS or ICA are also preferred.
