Job Title: Electrical Engineer

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires expertise in energy storage, electrical engineering, and power system design. As an Electrical Engineer - Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), you will lead the design, engineering, and implementation of Battery Energy Storage Systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design electrical layouts for BESS, including system architecture, hybrid renewable energy systems, and component specifications.
  • Perform technical analysis and sizing to optimize BESS performance based on project requirements.
  • Develop grid-connected BESS solutions and ensure system compatibility, stability, and compliance with grid codes and regulatory standards.
  • Select and specify BESS components with consideration for capacity, efficiency, safety, and lifespan.
  • Ensure all designs meet applicable safety standards and industry regulations, with a focus on fire protection and system reliability.
  • Support commissioning, performance monitoring, and diagnostics of BESS installations.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications and provide technical support during project handover.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in BESS or related fields, with a focus on electrical design and grid integration.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant BESS certifications are preferred.
  • Proficiency in design and simulation software, knowledge of applicable codes and standards, and familiarity with BESS system components.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
