Performance Test Engineer

As a Performance Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. With 8+ years of experience in software development or performance testing and engineering, including systems analysis using agile practices, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive performance testing strategies.

The lifecycle of services is a critical aspect of this role, requiring engagement from inception to deployment, operation, and refinement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve service availability, recovery, efficiency, and performance, as well as implement highly available and scalable architectures for core and third-party components of the service.

  • Support services through system design consulting, capacity planning, risk assessments, and launch reviews.
  • Maintain services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Run continuous improvement activities that improve service availability, recovery, efficiency, and performance.
  • Work with the team to implement metrics, monitoring, and incident response processes.
  • Align with and improve change management and capacity planning processes.
  • Monitor levels of manual effort and drive improvement through automation and stability.
  • Proactively improve service availability, performance, and efficiency via delivery of implemented metrics, monitoring, and incident response processes.
  • Be aware of production degradation of service level objectives.
  • Identify specific system information needed to facilitate incident response/post-mortems and deliver root cause analysis.
Required Skills:
  • End-to-end performance testing using LoadRunner and JMeter.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Performance engineering activities.
  • DevOps and CI/CD.
  • WebLogic, Oracle databases, cloud-native services.
