Job Overview

The Investment Counsellor role is a critical position within our organization that entails providing bespoke investment and financial planning services to clients.

This job involves assessing clients' financial needs, developing tailored investment strategies, and ensuring that their investment portfolios align with their long-term objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial markets, investment products, and client relationship management.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Consultation and Relationship Management:
    • Conduct comprehensive consultations with clients to understand their financial goals, risk tolerance, investment preferences, and time horizons.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for investment-related inquiries and advice.
    • Regularly review and update clients' investment portfolios to ensure alignment with their evolving financial goals and market conditions.
  • Investment Strategy Development:
    • Create customized investment strategies and asset allocation plans based on clients' objectives, risk profiles, and financial situations.
    • Utilize financial modelling and forecasting tools to analyze investment opportunities and recommend appropriate investment products.
    • Stay informed about market trends, economic conditions, and investment products to provide up-to-date and relevant advice.
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Oversee clients' investment portfolios, including monitoring performance, rebalancing, and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CFP) preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in investment management, financial planning, or a related field.
    • Required Skills:
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of financial markets and investment products.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
      • Proficiency in financial software, portfolio management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
      • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.

The successful candidate will be able to prioritize client needs and deliver tailored solutions that meet their unique financial objectives.

The Investment Counsellor will be expected to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
