Job Title: Cloud Data Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • We're seeking a skilled professional to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Snowflake, AWS, DBT and SQL.
  • Duties include developing and optimizing data models for scalability and performance, as well as writing efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and loading.
  • Collaboration with business analysts, data scientists and stakeholders is crucial to understand data requirements and ensure timely delivery of data.
  • Data quality, consistency and governance are top priorities across all platforms.
  • The role requires monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines, automating workflows and integrating data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Implementing best practices for data security, cost optimization and performance tuning on AWS and Snowflake is also essential.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is required.
  • Proven experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse (data modeling, query optimization, performance tuning) is necessary.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services: Lambda, Glue, S3, IAM, CloudWatch is needed.
  • Proficiency in DBT for data transformations and modular pipelines is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL is essential for complex queries and performance optimization.
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT design patterns and data integration best practices is necessary.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git) is desired.
  • Knowledge of data governance, lineage and security best practices is beneficial.
