About this Role

As a Cloud Architect in our organization, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the development of a Cloud Center of Excellence (COE) environment leveraging AWS technologies.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies, architecture principles, and best practices, combined with strong leadership and communication skills. This position will report to a senior director but will work with DevOps and other departments to promote higher uptimes, better user experience, and develop future improvements to the overall cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and resolves AWS service issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Manages AWS services, working with internal service groups as required to ensure system availability meets project requirements.
  • Designs, builds, and deploys cloud solutions using various cloud services and platforms (AWS).
  • Provides guidance and technical expertise on cloud adoption, migration, and optimization.
  • Develops scripts to automate systems administration and monitoring activities.
  • Provides technical support on AWS-related issues, monitors solutions, and implements appropriate strategies to eliminate performance bottlenecks.
  • Works with Infrastructure and Product teams on issues related to AWS design and architecture and assists with Proof-of-Concept development and testing.
  • Works with peers within and beyond the Operations team to define and characterize complex technology or process problems and develops & implements new solutions.
  • Assists with the development of Operations white papers, proposals, and other documentation.
  • Stays up to date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.
