Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to drive our DevOps culture and practices.

This critical role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure that supports our core service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of scalable, available, and fault-tolerant infrastructure design and implementation.

They will also have experience with the entire software development lifecycle from a DevOps perspective, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies.

A smooth operation of production environment is crucial, including on-call support for critical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, available, and fault-tolerant infrastructure
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle from a DevOps perspective
  • Ensure smooth operation of production environment

Automation & Tooling:

  • Develop robust CI/CD pipelines using tools
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems

System Architecture & Reliability:

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize application performance, reliability, and security
  • Drive SRE culture and continuous improvement, focusing on reducing toil and improving system uptime
  • Lead capacity planning and performance analysis to proactively address potential bottlenecks

Mentorship & Collaboration:

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other DevOps and software engineers
  • Champion best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, security, and quality assurance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role
  • Deep, hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Extensive experience with IaC tools, especially Terraform
  • Proven track record of designing and managing complex CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong expertise with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, Go)
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and networking fundamentals

  • Experience with building petabyte-scale storage systems
  • Familiarity with distributed file systems or object storage solutions
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance frameworks
  • Knowledge of database administration
