Highly Motivated CAD Designer Wanted for Offshore Wind Energy Project

As a key member of our team, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CAD Designer to join our offshore wind energy project. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for creating innovative engineering solutions for mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Solid Edge and AutoCAD software packages.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality reports and detailed drawings as required.
  • Perform design changes and improvements in a timely manner to meet project deadlines.
  • Evaluate project requirements and estimate costs for marine operation projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers to align on deliverable timelines and schedules.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality control on own work to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate project planning and progress to the engineering team.
  • Participate in project review sessions and meetings with representatives from other engineering disciplines and customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in design projects in the marine/offshore/mechanical/civil steel structural industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, offshore engineering, or naval architecture.
  • Expert-level knowledge in CAD software including Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
  • Able to understand complex engineering drawings and convert 2D drawings to 3D models and vice versa.
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to prioritize work effectively.
  • Able to maintain accurate document control.
  • Good experience in performing hand calculations and results interpretation.
  • Collaborative mindset and able to work efficiently with team members.
  • Open to travel offshore.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
