Logistics Manager Job Description

The role of Logistics Manager is a critical position within an organization, responsible for overseeing and managing the entire logistics process.

This includes transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory management, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. The Logistics Manager must develop strategies aligned with business goals and drive continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Evaluate and optimize logistics costs through vendor negotiations, route planning, and load optimization.
  • Implement process improvements to reduce lead times and enhance efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/WMS/TMS systems and MS Office applications.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.

Preferred Experience: Medical devices, pharma industry experience will be advantageous.
