Assistant Steel Production Manager

Steel Workers are key figures in the efficient operation of steelworks plants, ensuring optimal production and safety standards.
The role involves operating machinery to prepare and manage steel production processes. Responsibilities include:
- Flexible staffing to maintain plant availability.
- Operating cranes according to operational specifications.
- Preparing electric arc furnaces for optimal production.
- Operating ladle furnaces to prepare charges for continuous casting.
- Inspecting refractory materials and preparing ladles for tapping.
- Preparing strands at the continuous casting plant as per instructions.
- Monitoring and controlling casting processes according to specifications.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum A2 level of German language proficiency required at the job interview; B1 level necessary upon entry. Additionally, 2 years of professional experience in metalworking, steelworks, rolling mills, or foundries is preferred. Team players with a willingness to learn and understand recurring processes are encouraged to apply. Candidates should also possess a physical constitution suitable for the role.
Benefits of this role include 40 hours of work per week (8 hours per day), with 28 days of vacation. Language Level: Minimum A2 level required at the job interview; B1 level necessary upon entry. Experience: 2 years of professional experience. Knowledge in metalworking, steelworks, rolling mills, or foundries. Team player with a willingness to learn and understand recurring processes.
