Electrical Qualifications Engineering Leader

Job Description:

As an Electrical Qualifications Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the electrical qualifications engineering team in charge of qualifying electrical/electronic components. Your primary objective will be to evaluate and prioritize qualifications based on cost savings to achieve the highest possible cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement qualification plans for new / second-sourcing / localization of electrical / electronic components Manufacturers to achieve maximum cost saving.
  • Perform all necessary tests on submitted samples to ensure that new parts meet specifications.
  • Interface with identified persons from involved divisions pertaining to electrical qualifications.
  • Interact with vendors to obtain required information and coordinate corrections to samples if needed.
  • Report electrical qualification status and activities to immediate superiors.
  • Create, modify and update electrical/electronic parts specifications wherever necessary.
  • Support vendor qualifications through technical assessment and on-site engineers visits when required.
  • Conduct pilot runs in coordination with Quality Dept to verify performance of new parts in regular manufacturing process.
  • Generate and implement ECOs.
  • Add new vendors names to AML after completing qualification process.
  • Test SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC Products according to test request and test data sheets in Compliance Engineering Database.
  • Ensure lab equipment is calibrated.
  • Create product safety test reports.
  • Maintain order in lab.
  • Order consumables and check stock levels.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding doubts raised by vendors.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance objectives are achieved through active involvement of peers.
