Job RoleOperational Management
  • We are seeking an experienced professional to supervise pharmacy operations, including dispensing, billing, and stock management.
  • The ideal candidate will monitor drug availability and maintain adequate levels of essential medicines.
  • Ensuring proper storage conditions of medicines as per statutory norms is crucial for this role.
  • Oversight of inward & outward movement of drugs, surgical items, and consumables is also required.
Procurement & Inventory Control
  • A key responsibility of this role is to coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement of medicines and consumables.
  • Implementing cost control measures without compromising on quality is essential.
  • The successful candidate will monitor slow-moving, near-expiry, and non-moving stocks and take corrective action.
  • Periodic physical verification of stock and reconciliation is also required.
Compliance & Quality
  • This role ensures that pharmacy operations comply with Drugs & Cosmetics Act, NABH / JCI standards, and hospital policies.
  • Maintenance of records of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and high-value drugs as per legal requirements is vital.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure prescription validation, rational drug use, and patient safety protocols.
Team Management
  • Supervising pharmacists and support staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs is essential for this role.
  • Providing training, guidance, and continuous learning to pharmacy staff is also required.
  • Scheduling duties and managing manpower requirements effectively is a key responsibility.
Financial & Reporting
  • This role assists in preparing pharmacy budgets and monitoring expenditure.
  • Analyzing sales, consumption trends, and preparing MIS reports for management is essential.
  • Supporting audits (internal, external, statutory) and ensuring timely closure of NCs is also required.
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations is required.
  • Familiarity with NABH/JCI accreditation requirements is essential.
  • Good understanding of drug procurement, supply chain, and inventory management is required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with clinicians, nursing, and administration is also required.
