**Job Title:** Emergency Response Assistant

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our emergency response team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling urgent animal emergencies, rescues, and cruelty cases involving animals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency calls and emails in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with approved animal-protection organisations, volunteers, activists, government bodies, and designated officials to facilitate emergency rescues in remote areas across the country.
  • File police complaints and First Information Reports as necessary, and perform similar tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintain and update a database of contacts and services available to our emergency and cruelty-case response team.
  • Ensure thorough records are maintained for calls and emails received about emergencies and cruelty cases.
  • Participate in professional development training on animal handling, restraining, first aid, and other relevant topics.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree from a recognised institution.
  • Voluntary or other experience handling emergency and cruelty-case responses for animals is a plus.
  • Computer proficiency and fluency in Hindi and English are essential.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, including multi-tasking, are required.
  • Ability to deal patiently with animal-protection organisations, volunteers, and other contacts.
  • Passion for ending cruelty to animals and helping animals in need.
  • Compassionate, responsible, and self-driven character.
  • Adherence to a vegan lifestyle.
