Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in API testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of API testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing using Postman and RestAssured or Playwright.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual API testing to validate functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Automate API testing for faster regression and continuous validation.
  • Design and document test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business requirements.
  • Log, track, and manage bugs using JIRA or Azure DevOps and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
  • Build and manage test automation pipelines using Jenkins integrated within CI/CD workflows.
  • Use Visual Studio or VS Code as primary IDEs to develop and maintain automation scripts.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Ensure complete test coverage and conduct smoke, sanity, regression, and integration testing.
  • Provide detailed test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in API testing methodologies, both manual and automated.
  • Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, and other test management tools.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Good knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON/XML formats.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in rotational shifts and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in end-to-end automation framework development for APIs.
  • Exposure to web UI automation tools or frameworks.
  • Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries for backend validation.
  • Experience working on real-time applications in domains like e-commerce or finance.
