Commodity Trading Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Commodity Trading Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our commodity trading division, you will be responsible for monitoring market trends and making informed trading decisions.

You will analyze market data, identify opportunities, and execute trades to achieve maximum returns. Additionally, you will develop relationships with suppliers, buyers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor domestic and international markets for price trends and supply-demand dynamics.
  • Execute buy/sell trades in physical or derivatives markets (spot, futures, options).
  • Analyze weather patterns, crop reports, government policies, and global trade data to inform trading strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and prices for procurement and sale of commodities.
  • Mitigate risk using hedging strategies via commodity exchanges.
  • Manage logistics, warehousing, and delivery schedules in coordination with supply chain partners.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, economics, business, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of agricultural markets and commodities.
  • Understanding of trading platforms and exchanges.
  • Proficient in data analysis, market intelligence tools, and Excel.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure trading environments and quick decision-making.
