Commodities Trader

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled commodities trader to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead the trade lifecycle management process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with trading, risk, operations, and finance teams to gather business requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Manage the full trade lifecycle: capture, validation, confirmation, logistics/scheduling, risk exposure calculation, settlement, invoicing, and reporting.
• Support key risk management activities, including mark-to-market valuations, daily profit-and-loss (P&L) reporting and reconciliation, market and credit risk exposure analysis, hedge effectiveness tracking, and configure commodity trading risk management systems.
• Ensure accurate integration of market data feeds for pricing and risk analytics.
• Collaborate on logistics and scheduling modules, including pipeline, shipping, storage, and nominations.
• Assist with settlement processes such as invoicing, payment matching, and accruals.
• Work closely with IT teams to implement system enhancements, interface integrations, and data migration.
• Conduct various types of system testing (user acceptance testing, regression, performance) and document results.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting standards.
• Provide end-user training, documentation, knowledge transfer, and production support.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with commodity trading risk management systems.
• Strong understanding of commodity trading processes and risk management principles.
• Experience with data integration, trade lifecycle management, and system configuration.
• Familiarity with market data providers and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
