Job Title: Retail Banking Expert

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in retail banking and digital banking channels. The ideal candidate will have deep functional expertise in customer onboarding, account opening, and core retail banking processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and define detailed functional requirements.
  • Create functional specification documents (FSD), user stories, and other supporting documentation.
  • Translate business needs into clear, concise, and testable requirements.
  • Analyze end-to-end functional flows and how they are implemented in the banking application.
  • Review and support testing strategies, including regression test suites and defect analysis.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on retail banking modules, including customer onboarding, account servicing, payments, and loans.
  • Collaborate with QA and Dev teams to ensure accurate requirement implementation.
  • Identify gaps in product functionality based on customer usage patterns and feedback.
  • Mentor and support junior team members in understanding domain-specific processes.
  • Track and report project progress, risks, and dependencies in collaboration with internal and client stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the BFSI domain.
  • Strong domain knowledge of retail banking, particularly in digital banking (mobile and internet banking, agency banking).
  • Functional understanding of customer onboarding, account opening workflows, and digital servicing.
  • Working knowledge of banking accounting principles, especially related to loans, accounts, and payments.
  • Experience in creating FSDs, BRDs, and other business documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in defect triaging and test case review.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across business and technical teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in project tracking, stakeholder engagement, and timely delivery.
