Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Lead to oversee the technical aspects of software development across all stages of the lifecycle.

  • Provide architectural oversight, conduct code/design reviews, and enforce quality assurance to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align technical solutions with regulatory and business requirements in the capital markets domain.
  • Guide teams in the development and support of high-availability, secure financial applications.
  • Ensure smooth DevOps processes and manage L3 production support to minimize downtime.
Technical Expertise
  • Lead architecture, design, and development of web-based enterprise applications using Java (JSP, Struts, EJB) for the capital markets domain.
  • Review and approve designs, technical specifications, and architecture artifacts to ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, design patterns, and maintainability.
  • Drive event-driven architecture implementation for real-time systems to enhance performance.
  • Integrate and deploy on IBM WAS, Apache, Tomcat, and Windows environments for scalability and security.
  • Implement messaging and asynchronous communication via IBM MQ for efficient data exchange.
  • Optimize SQL queries and data access on IBM DB2 to improve database performance.
Application Development & Maintenance
  • Drive development using JSP, Struts, EJB, and event-driven architecture to deliver high-quality applications.
  • Oversee integration and deployment on IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Tomcat, Apache for seamless deployment.
  • Implement messaging and event processing using IBM MQ for efficient data processing.
  • Optimize backend operations with IBM DB2 and complex SQL queries to improve performance.
  • Ensure platform scalability, availability, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
Platform Management
  • Manage core modules including Investor and Broker eServices Platforms, Electronic Contract Note (ECN) Management, Securities Settlements and Depository Applications, and Corporate Actions.
DevOps and QA
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient testing and deployment.
  • Anchor the QA team dedicated for the specific set of applications for test strategy, QA reviews, and quality compliance.
  • Manage L3 support, bug fixing, and performance optimization to minimize downtime.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work with Depositories, MIIs, Brokers, Banks, and other regulated entities to translate business requirements into scalable and secure solutions.
Governance and Reviews
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
