Production Manager Job Description

As a production manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process from planning to delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of production are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage production schedules to meet customer demands
  • Oversee the procurement of raw materials and supplies
  • Manage inventory levels and optimize stockroom operations
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials
  2. Develop and implement effective inventory management systems
  3. Monitor production schedules and make adjustments as needed to meet customer demands
  4. Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet quality standards
  5. Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in production management or related field
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and control principles
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
