System Engineer for Thermal Management

We are looking for an expert to lead our thermal management system development. This role involves identifying customer needs and prioritizing development activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agile development, a goal-oriented approach, and excellent communication skills. They will drive cross-functional and global networks, collaborate with coworkers, and take ownership of their area and deliveries.

Required qualifications include a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Thermal/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or similar with over 10 years of experience in the field of Thermal Management system engineering. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of product development life cycles and change management activities. They must be able to develop robust time plans and roadmaps, validate designs through virtual and physical verifications, and troubleshoot issues related to cooling/heating systems.

The responsibilities of this role include defining CAB Climate functions, setting performance targets, interacting with simulation analysts, and verifying heating system test outcomes. The candidate will also be responsible for securing vehicle legal and certification requirements, leading System FMEA, and managing Q-Tools like D-FMEA and Risk register. They will take full engineering responsibility, deliver tasks independently, and guide junior team members.

  • To identify customer needs and prioritize development activities.
  • To define the CAB Climate functions with close interaction with our Thermal Cooling and Heating Engineers.
  • To support and set the performance targets at individual component level to various components developed by component owners.
