About the Role

Axis Max Life Insurance Limited is seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of DIRECTOR OF INSURANCE OPERATIONS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and excellence in claims management.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to oversee the direction, control, and management of business processing operations for Individual and Group claims. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance operations, with experience in claims management and processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control and monitor claims process to ensure compliance with regulatory norms.
  • Manage life (Individual and Group) and health Claims.
  • Oversee team development, including hiring, mentoring, training, and motivating the team.
  • Review and approve payments and repudiations of claims within specified authority limits.
  • Share feedback with products and actuaries on existing products and assist in the development of new products.
  • Handle strategic projects and management deliverables.
  • Align with Max Life goal and objectives.
  • Oversee fraud and risk measures to counter all fraudulent claims.
  • Measure success through accuracy, quality, productivity, and timeliness of claims approvals, as well as claims audit ratings and reviews with supervisors and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Insurance, Finance, Law, Commerce, or Medicine.
  • Knowledge of basics of Life, Health, and Group Insurance business and operations.
  • Well-versed in MS Office.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Life/Group Insurance/other Operations preferably in claims management and processing.
  • Added qualifications from Insurance Institute of India, LOMA, ICA, etc., preferred.

Salary: ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,800,000 per annum (based on experience)
