Role Overview

As a seasoned automation specialist, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring high-quality releases of our platform.

  • Design and implement robust automation frameworks to streamline complex workflows.
  • Validate intricate system interactions across hybrid and on-prem environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain enterprise-grade standards.
Key Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases covering:

  • Cluster lifecycle management
  • Security (TLS, LDAP, RBAC)
  • Networking and platform integrations
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks for:
  • REST APIs
  • UI testing
  • System-level and end-to-end workflows
  • Perform performance and scalability testing across:
  • VM-based deployments
  • Kubernetes environments
  • Validate enterprise-grade scenarios like:
  • Backup and restore
  • Air-gapped installs
  • Software upgrades
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to drive quality from design to release.
  • Reproduce and debug complex, production-like issues.
  • Own the quality gates for builds and releases.
  • Continuously improve the test infrastructure, tools, and processes.
Required Qualifications

You'll need:

  • 3–5 years of experience in automation testing, preferably in infrastructure, database, or enterprise software
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Java
  • Experience testing distributed systems or microservices
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Kubernetes, Helm, Docker
  • Hybrid environments (on-prem, air-gapped, VM-based)
  • Familiarity with:
  • REST APIs, PostgreSQL, cloud-native technologies
  • Tools like Ansible, Terraform, Helm
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Nice to Have

If you have experience with:

  • Enterprise security validation (LDAP, TLS, RBAC)
  • Performance benchmarking tools and methodologies
  • Supporting enterprise customers or debugging production-like environments
  • Knowledge of:
  • YugabyteDB or other distributed databases
  • Agile development and continuous testing practices
