Network Automation Engineer Job Description

As a Network Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing network automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce errors in large-scale datacenter environments.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Ansible, Python, and Linux/Windows/Hypervisor OS core networking. They will also have hands-on experience with high-performance datacenter networking devices and a deep understanding of networking concepts including BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, MPLS, QoS, and leaf-spine architectures.

The role requires collaboration with cloud infrastructure, network engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless provisioning and scaling of GPU/TPU clusters. The successful candidate will ensure that network automation solutions meet high-performance computing requirements such as low latency, high throughput, and fault tolerance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ansible Expertise: Develop and maintain network automation frameworks using Ansible.
  • Python Proficiency: Build Python-based automation scripts and tools to integrate with APIs, orchestration platforms, and monitoring systems.
  • Networking Knowledge: Strong proficiency in Linux/Windows/Hypervisor OS core networking, including network stack configuration, NIC bonding, VLANs, routing tables, MTU adjustments, jumbo frames, and performance tuning for HPC/AI workloads.
  • Experience with High-Performance Datacenter Networking Devices: Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus, Arista, Juniper, Mellanox/NVIDIA Networking devices.
  • Collaboration Skills: Collaborate with cloud infrastructure, network engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless provisioning and scaling of GPU/TPU clusters.
