The Maintenance Planning Team Lead role involves overseeing a team of maintenance planners, schedulers, and permit writers who develop detailed plans and schedules for planned maintenance and project work.
This position integrates routine maintenance planning/scheduling activities with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical, as well as capital project planning/scheduling activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinates the planning and scheduling of non-turnaround routine maintenance work at the site performed by various crafts.
- Provides subject matter expertise support on planning, estimating, and scheduling for project work.
- Ensures high-quality work packages in compliance with industry standards.
- Drives accountability for standard planning and estimating tools and practices.
- Delivers quality execution work plans and updates on scope status and forecast.
- Works closely with Operations to integrate schedules into the operating plan.
- Develops tools to streamline cost and execution forecasting accuracy.
- Collaborates with Construction Services to integrate project scope into a master project schedule.
- Communicates scope progress to stakeholders and team members.
- Degree in relevant Engineering or Maintenance Discipline.
- Previous Oil and Gas experience in a Maintenance Planning Leadership Position.
- Strong technical background in planning and scheduling tools – JDE, SAP, Prometheus, Primavera P6.
- Understanding of planning processes including constructability, advanced work packaging, work planning (schedule, resources, cost), project scoping, contract planning and management, progress measurement/controls, and materials management.
