Job Title: Closure Door Trims

This role involves leading the engineering design, technical development, and delivery of interior components for new or ongoing programs.

The individual will be responsible for delivering commodity plans to quality, cost, and time, maintaining worldwide engineering release systems, and owning and delivering engineering advanced product quality planning deliverables.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing change requests and expenditure forecasting;
  • Owning and managing supplier teams in support of program milestones;
  • Developing designs that meet vehicle targets by collaborating with attribute teams;
  • Managing design verification test plans, including detailed planning of tests and development stages;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Leading resolution of business, technical, and process issues within project teams;
  • Good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition, and change management processes;
  • Knowledge of automotive body cabin systems, plastic, and sheet metal materials, design rules, Bill of Design, Bill of Process, DFMEA, DVP, DFM, Part & assembly level tests;
  • Ability to create 2D sections and 3D geometry using Catia V5/V6/TCE/Digibuck;
  • Experience in using CATIA V5 & V6;
  • Good knowledge of domain knowledge, parametric modeling, BOM creation, and update;
  • Good GD&T knowledge;
  • Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector;
  • Good knowledge of Enovia, Teamcenter Engineering (TCE), Part Release process, and system;
  • Engineering knowledge of defined components/systems design, function, performance, production, and manufacturing requirements;
  • Excellent communications skills and demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels;
  • PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word;
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering;
