Healthcare Operations and Data Management Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing healthcare data management, improving clinic operations, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. You will lead teams, enhance workflows, and implement process improvements to drive decision-making and improve clinic KPIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute end-to-end clinic workflows including front desk, clerical tasks, patient assistance, and scheduling.
  • Provide comprehensive training and support on EHR/EMR systems, focusing on Epic and Cerner platforms.
  • Oversee billing and claims processing, ensuring accurate ICD/CPT coding, claims submission, and error resolution.
  • Maintain strict HIPAA compliance for patient privacy, PHI protection, and secure messaging.
  • Organize, clean, and manage healthcare data to inform business decisions and improve clinic performance.
  • Guide process improvements in patient registration, chart management, data quality, and reporting.
  • Develop structured modules to build team capability in the areas of:
  • Clinic operations (front desk, clerical essentials, patient assistance)
  • EHR/EMR navigation, registration, and records management
  • Billing, coding, and claims management
  • Data management, healthcare metrics, and Excel-based reporting

Requirements:

  • Proven background in healthcare operations and data management.
  • Hands-on expertise with EHR/EMR systems, particularly Epic and Cerner.
  • Knowledge of billing and coding standards, including ICD and CPT.
  • Experience with HIPAA compliance and patient data security.
  • Proficiency in healthcare metrics, reporting, and data quality management.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
