Job Title: Mechanical Design Specialist

Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and expertise with design tools such as SolidWorks and Creo.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing cost-effective components and assemblies using SolidWorks and Creo, involving generating conceptual designs, performing engineering calculations, and creating detailed drawings for various products.

This role requires the ability to ensure product designs are feasible and optimized for manufacturing processes like injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, die-casting, and surface treatment processes.

The ideal candidate must also conduct specification analysis, component selection, and maintain well-structured product BOMs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing cost-effective components and assemblies using SolidWorks and Creo
  • Generating conceptual designs, performing engineering calculations, and creating detailed drawings
  • Ensuring product designs are feasible and optimized for manufacturing processes
  • Conducting specification analysis, component selection, and maintaining well-structured product BOMs

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E / B.Tech) and 58 years of hands-on mechanical design experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience using SolidWorks and Creo is required. Strong knowledge of tooling, machining, surface treatments, and metal fabrication processes is essential.

The ideal candidate will also have skills in material selection for plastic, sheet metal, die-cast, fabricated, and machined parts, experience with tolerance stack-up analysis, and familiarity with ISO 13485 and compliance standards.

A strong verbal and written communication skill is a requirement for this role. Collaboration in multidisciplinary project teams, supporting prototype builds and product verification testing, and interacting with customers for project status updates, document evaluations, and technical discussions are involved.
