Job Title: Residential Life Coordinator

The Residential Life Coordinator will oversee the overall management and upkeep of a student residence, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents. Key responsibilities include administration, student welfare and discipline, coordination and supervision, and safety and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Residential Administration: Oversee daily operations, including accommodation, maintenance, housekeeping, and catering. Manage room assignments and maintain occupancy records. Monitor facilities and report any issues promptly.
  • Student Welfare & Discipline: Maintain order and decorum among residents. Address grievances and provide counseling support as needed. Ensure safety and well-being within the residence premises.
  • Coordination & Supervision: Supervise support staff, including wardens and housekeeping personnel. Coordinate with food services to ensure quality and timely meals. Liaise with university administration on residence-related matters.
  • Safety & Security: Ensure proper security measures are in place. Maintain visitor records and restrict unauthorized access. Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical, safety, and disciplinary situations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., education, social sciences, or management).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a residential life coordinator or administrator (experience in an educational setting preferred).
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies with calmness and responsibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and record-keeping.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Experience in student affairs, residential life, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of crisis management and emergency response procedures.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
