Role Overview

This position plays a pivotal role in driving philanthropic efforts by securing revenue from diverse sources. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an action-oriented annual fundraising plan, building a network of relationships with key stakeholders, and working closely with the India Leader and thematic teams.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and augmenting a national network of diverse donor support for organizations. They will possess excellent leadership skills, able to communicate a compelling vision and drive results while developing a strong team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for fundraising with clear short-, medium-, and long-term objectives based on a shared vision of desired outcomes
  • Establish and strengthen a national network of diverse supporters, adding new champions and donors to the existing network
  • Build a diversified portfolio approach to fund raising, ensuring effort and target distribution across different kinds of sources
  • Proactively execute multiple aspects of the plan engaging high net worth individuals, corporations, foundations, and other pertinent entities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continually identify opportunities for enrichment and augmentation of fundraising opportunities and impact

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in business, Social Sciences, or another related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in direct fundraising and partnership roles, including at least 3 years in a leadership position
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and comfort with the ambiguity of the fundraising universe
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills, interpersonal skills, and an executive presence, with the ability to quickly establish personal credibility and demonstrate expertise
  • Adaptable with a penchant for innovation and a keen eye for emergent trends, regulatory environment, and fast-evolving policy context
