Job Overview:

The role of SAP ILM and Data Archiving Solution Architect involves designing, implementing, and supporting comprehensive data management strategies across complex SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute retention management strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize data risks.
  • Lead system decommissioning projects, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Conduct thorough analysis to identify potential archiving impacts on business processes and system performance.
  • Implement custom archive objects, purging solutions, and hybrid DVM configurations for optimal data storage and retrieval.
  • Manage metadata integrity and accessibility through efficient ADK file handling and content organization.
  • Perform in-depth system assessments to identify DVM opportunities and define effective archiving strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve archiving issues to close open items and maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Integrate nearline storage solutions with archive servers and SAP systems, including administration and support services.
  • Leverage PBS tools like NAA, Archive Add-on, and Content Link to enhance archiving capabilities and streamline workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with SAP ILM Legal Hold, Case Management, and ILM Blocking in S/4HANA environments.
  • Proven expertise in SAP Data Volume Management (DVM), including at least 1 year of hands-on experience in an S/4HANA environment.
