Area Credit Manager Job Description

  • Prepare and amend financial documents with accurate information, sourced from business teams, public domains, or other resources.

  • Develop detailed transaction structures and assessments for credit facilities, focusing on risk evaluation.

  • Regularly interact with sales and collections teams to track delinquencies, identify areas for improvement, and share best practices.

  • Maintain regular customer engagement, understanding industry trends and market conditions through meetings and research.

  • Conduct pre-approval and rating of clients with significant exposure, ensuring thorough analysis and risk assessment.

  • Deliver training sessions for sales and channel partners on product policies and processes, promoting effective implementation.

  • Monitor post-disbursement documentation, including invoices, insurance, and vehicle registration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage client portfolios to meet quality standards, addressing documentation and delinquency issues promptly.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Evaluate transaction risks, business risks, and industry risks, providing comprehensive risk mitigation strategies.

  • Perform in-depth financial analysis, tracking P&L and balance sheet movements, and identifying underlying causes.

  • Develop structured credit notes detailing transaction structures, credit views, and associated risks and mitigants.

  • Conduct detailed financial appraisals, assessing business models, working capital cycles, and profitability.

  • Establish market intelligence by engaging with external stakeholders, analyzing their policies, focus areas, and portfolio health.

  • Identify automation opportunities in existing processes and contribute to new product development initiatives.

  • Ensure high-quality underwriting, raising early warning signals for potential stress accounts, and implementing timely exit strategies.

  • Maintain minimal audit queries, resolving any issues within prescribed timelines, and leveraging market knowledge to inform decision-making.

  • Engage actively in customer visits and maintain a regular market intelligence report MIS.
