Job Title: Software Automation Engineer Lead

We are seeking an experienced Software Automation Engineer Lead to drive quality practices and automation-first approaches across our global product development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automation frameworks, process governance, team management, and agile delivery. As the QA leader, you will own the testing strategy, guide senior and junior QA engineers, and collaborate with product, development, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing applications across multiple environments, geographies, and mobile platforms.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement enterprise-level automation solutions using WebdriverIO, TypeScript, Cucumber, Jenkins, GitLab, and npm.
  • Manage and mentor QA engineers, ensuring best practices in automation and testing through hands-on guidance and training.
  • Architect automation solutions, standardizing frameworks across projects to maximize reusability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed quality at every stage of the SDLC.
  • Drive CI/CD integration and test execution, integrating automation pipelines with GitLab and Jenkins for seamless testing and deployment.
  • Lead QA planning, execution, and reporting, utilizing Zephyr integrated with JIRA for efficient test management and defect tracking.
  • Oversee test execution and establish governance, ensuring quality is maintained across multi-environment setups.
  • Improve testing and foster a culture of quality, driving usage of Kibana logs for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 10+ years of QA experience, with at least 6+ years in automation testing and 3+ years in team leadership/management.
  • Deep expertise in WebdriverIO, TypeScript, Cucumber, Jenkins, npm, and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Proven experience in setting up and scaling QA automation frameworks for enterprise applications.
  • Strong background in SAP E-commerce back office testing.
  • Proficiency with test management tools (Zephyr) and defect tracking (JIRA).
  • Experience with Kibana logs analysis and production issue triaging.
  • Strong exposure to multi-environment, cross-region, and mobile platform testing.
  • In-depth understanding of Scrum/Agile delivery models and test governance.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
