IT/IS Workplace Engineer/Subject Matter Expert

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled IT/IS Workplace Engineer/Subject Matter Expert to join our team. As a key member of our IT/IS Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our IT Workplace services run smoothly at a global level.

You will serve as the trusted advisor and hands-on specialist, reporting to the IT/IS Customer Experience Service Owner. Your expertise will be invaluable in guiding our organization through the complex landscape of end-user devices, configurations, maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting activities.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, creating, and delivering solution frameworks around the workplace domain
  • Providing technical knowledge, support, and/or executing workplace-related activities
  • Guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge, and advising external teams
  • Controlling and ensuring that workplace solutions/services are delivered according to agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Acting as the owner of general workplace applications, ensuring timely patching with the support of existing operations partners
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to design, create, and deliver solution frameworks around the workplace domain
  • Deep technical knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, including customization, application packaging, troubleshooting, Bitlocker management, and migration concepts (Windows 10 and Windows 11)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) to develop custom operating images, patching solutions, troubleshooting, and maintenance plans
  • Understanding of MDM (Mobile Device Management)
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach, strong communication skills, and fluency in spoken and written English
  • German is a plus
