Job Title: Database Support Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to provide support for Pod Spanner, a highly available relational database service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API development using Go (Golang), proficiency in CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance, and hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Bazel, YAML, or Terraform.

A basic understanding of database design and schema concepts is also essential. Additionally, the candidate should have solid debugging experience with logs and monitoring tools across complex systems.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Pod Spanner, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation of the service.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills are crucial for this role, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Pod Spanner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation of the service
  • Provide expert-level support for API development using Go (Golang)
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality software

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in API development using Go (Golang)
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Bazel, YAML, or Terraform
  • Basic understanding of database design and schema concepts
  • Solid debugging experience with logs and monitoring tools
