Deputy General Manager Finishing

Overview

We seek an accomplished Deputy General Manager – Finishing to lead our finishing operations. This key role ensures high-quality output, operational efficiency, and adherence to delivery schedules.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Lead day-to-day operations of the finishing department, including bleaching, dyeing, printing, washing, and other finishing processes. Ensure timely completion of production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes to ensure fabrics meet required customer specifications and international standards. Drive initiatives to minimize defects, rework, and waste. Implement best practices for process consistency and product reliability.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation: Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies. Introduce new finishing techniques and technologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability. Collaborate with R&D and technical teams on process development and new product trials.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain standards in line with customer audits, certifications, and sustainability requirements (e.g., ZDHC, OEKO-TEX, GOTS). Enforce strict adherence to EHS guidelines within the finishing operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Production Management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in fabric finishing, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role in a reputable fabric/textile mill.
