We are seeking candidates to fill the position of Lab Instructor in our academic institution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and supervising laboratory sessions, assisting faculty members in delivering practical sessions, maintaining lab safety, and ensuring the availability and calibration of lab equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, have a minimum of two years of experience in a laboratory/clinical setting or academic institution, and demonstrate proficiency in handling laboratory equipment, strong communication and instructional skills, familiarity with regulatory standards, and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting and supervising laboratory sessions for undergraduate students.
  • Assisting in preparation, demonstration, and evaluation of practical skills.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment, inventory, and ensuring timely calibration and servicing.
  • Enforcing safety protocols, infection control measures, and proper waste disposal practices.
  • Collaborating with academic faculty to align laboratory content with theoretical components of the course.
  • Providing technical support to students during skill development and internal assessments.
  • Participating in curriculum review and development of new laboratory manuals.
  • Maintaining documentation for laboratory sessions, stock registers, and compliance audits.
  • Facilitating internal and external practical examinations and simulations.
